Supporting the industry
One of the pillars of Furniture Repair Bank is to promote furniture reuse by individuals and businesses. By supporting other businesses and entrepreneurs who repair, refinish, redesign, and rent furniture and other home furnishings, we empower the circular economy and keep furniture in circulation longer in Washington State.
There’s no catch, we are not selling anything, and all sessions are free with no solicitation afterward.
All sessions are provided by professionals contracted or recruited to provide pro-bono support. The program is sponsored by Washington State Microenterprise Association.
Free trainings & 1-on-1 sessions
You do not have to register for every workshop to participate. Pick and choose what is most helpful to you. After attending the workshops, you will have an opportunity to schedule free 1-on-1 consultancy sessions from the trainers through June 15, 2024.

Sessions calendar
The calendar includes sessions for small businesses and workshops specific for furniture painters, artists, and refurbishers. Learn more about sessions specific to independent furniture artists here. Feel free to pick your own journey.
For this work, we are partnering with the Washington State Microenterprise Association (WSMA) to support 50+ microenterprises across the state. These enterprises include small furniture repair businesses, solo furniture restoration entrepreneurs, emerging furniture restoration gig workers, and immigrant workers establishing their own microenterprises. Our reach also extends to cross sections of entrepreneurs working in clean materials, creative economy/arts, trades, and small-scale manufacturing. Our services will be offered statewide (virtually), with a physical presence available at Furniture Repair Bank located in the SoDo neighborhood of Seattle.
