From Blank Space to The Repair Place
Building a Better Home for Repair, Community, and Hope
Every year, thousands of neighbors, volunteers, and families walk through our doors, each carrying a story of rebuilding. Now, it’s our turn to rebuild.
The Furniture Repair Bank has found its new home. A warehouse that will become a vibrant community repair place, where discarded furniture is transformed into comfort, and people into changemakers.
This new space is more than a workshop. It’s a place where the community comes together, volunteers learn hands-on repair skills, where rescued furniture finds new purpose, and where families in need receive restored, quality pieces to make their house a home, free of charge. To make this possible, we’re asking for your help to build the infrastructure that will keep our mission strong for years to come.
Why We Need Your Support
Our new space is a blank canvas waiting to be transformed into a hub for creativity, skill-building, and circular design.
Your contribution will help us:
Install better lighting, electricity, and air systems to keep our volunteers safe and comfortable.
Build sound-dampening and dust-limiting partition walls to create dedicated learning zones for upholstery, wood repair, and community gatherings.
Upgrade equipment and tools for efficiency and accessibility.
Create a welcoming volunteer lounge where connections and ideas can flourish.
Our Goal
We’re raising $92,000 to transform an empty warehouse into a thriving community-powered repair hub that welcomes over 2,000 volunteers and supports over 500 individuals each year.
Together, we can turn this space into a permanent home for the circular economy in action.

Join us for a celebration of community, collaboration, and transformation: the creation of the FIRST IN THE WORLD community space where furniture, skills, and lives are restored. We open our doors to everyone who has helped bring this vision to life and to new friends who want to be part of what comes next.
