We found a base, we built the space

Finding a suitable warehouse that satisfied our needs, was relatively close to a city where we could recruit volunteers, and did not cost a fortune was a treasure-hunting quest. Four months in and here it was– a 2400 sq ft location in SoDo, Seattle, a space that was previously a cabinet manufacturing facility.

The space came with pounds and pounds of sawdust, leftover materials, holes in the walls, and other imperfections, but also with a functioning paint box (that, once running, sucks all the particles and vapors) and a ton of potential! We cleaned all the trash and dust, filled the holes in the floor, patched and painted the walls, ceiling, and floor, fixed the filters and lights, repurposed inherited rolling carts, utilized vertical space, added a design touch, and voila.
