Now Hiring: Occupational Safety Project Lead
Furniture Repair Bank is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and mission-driven professional to serve as the Occupational Safety & Project Coordination Lead for a safety culture development project.
This project will develop practical, publicly available safety resources for workers, volunteers, and small repair businesses across Washington State, including:
hazard assessments,
ergonomic and PPE guidance,
exposure prevention protocols,
safety training materials and videos,
and ADA-accessible safety toolkits.

Rate: $33-$43/h

Responsibilities
Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and team communication
Support workplace hazard assessments and safety planning
Collaborate with ergonomists, designers, videographers, and outreach staff
Help develop practical safety guidance and training materials
Assist with implementation of safer workflows and operational practices
Support documentation, reporting, and statewide outreach activities
Ideal Qualifications
Experience in occupational safety, operations, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, project management, or related fields
Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple moving parts and collaborate across disciplines
Ability to translate technical concepts into practical, user-friendly guidance
Experience in workshop, warehouse, manufacturing, makerspace, or repair environments is a plus
